A few weeks
ago, Wrenn Rescues, an all-volunteer animal rescuer in Southern California, was
contacted about a litter of kittens in need of foster care. They were in poor
condition, covered in dirt and had many health problems.
Ashley
Kelley, a rescue volunteer, did not hesitate to take them in and began taking
care of them 24 hours a day. One of the kittens named Whispers has distinct
markings on her face in the shape of the Rorschach test.
Whispers
was a very special little girl who was about to take on a great challenge.
Despite
being so small and sick when she was first caught, the kitten was a fighter and
was determined to recover on her feet.
After days
of tube feeding and extra care, she made incredible gains and even developed a
nice stocky belly.
This little
girl had a very difficult start, but her will to live overcame all obstacles.
At a young
age, the kitten has already discovered his cheeky attitude . She is not ashamed
to show it. The little piece of down likes to flap its paws in the air as if it
were trying to catch an invisible insect.
The little
girl is constantly looking for the attention of her caregivers or other kittens
and does not want to be alone.Whispers
and her sister Lorna share an adorable bond.
They play,
fight and fight with all their strength, then make up by taking a nap next to
each other, while Lorna bathes her sister with lick strokes.
Erin, a
parent volunteer for Wrenn Rescues, and her son Chris have taken over the
parenting duties. They have built a suite, bedrooms with bathrooms and a large
playroom.
Whispers
and Lorna were ready to join in at the difficult beginning.
At first,
the kittens didn't know what toys were, but they quickly began to learn. The
sisters explored their new digs and checked their variety of toys together.
Aunt
Whispers is still very small for her age, despite her chubby belly. Lorna has
taken on the role of older sister, taking care of the little one wherever he
goes.
The two
fill their room with endless entertainment while they run, creating all kinds
of antics.
Whispers
and Lorna spend a lot of time together, perfecting their feline skills and
learning to be naughty cats. If they meet other adopted kittens, they will be
greeted with gentle strokes.
